Hi {{firstName}},
Three open-rate myths still circulating:
1. **"Subject lines should be under 50 characters."** Mixed. The data we've seen shows the gain is on mobile, but only marginal. Better predictor: does the subject reflect a real benefit?
2. **"Tuesday at 10am ET is the best send time."** Not anymore. Send-time advantage has compressed to about 5%, well within noise for most senders. Send when your audience is awake.
3. **"Emojis in subject lines hurt deliverability."** No general evidence. They can hurt clarity if used to replace words. Use sparingly when they add meaning, not as decoration.
If you want to test any of these against your own list, we've got a 14-day A/B framework: [here]({{frameworkURL}}).
— {{senderName}}Myth-busting reframes received wisdom and earns reader trust because it shows you've thought about your domain. Each myth should be paired with what's actually true. Avoid being contrarian for its own sake — only bust myths you have evidence on.
